TIL that booking a flight on a Tuesday is actually a myth for saving money

Yeah, the Tuesday thing is so outdated. I've had the same experience with the "clear your cookies" tip for cheaper flights. Tried it for weeks on a trip to Denver, prices never budged. A friend who works in airline revenue told me most big sites don't even work that way anymore, they use cached prices. We all just pass these old tricks around forever.

Remember when we had to wait a whole week for the next episode?

Relate so hard to that feeling, I once finished a whole season before my friend even hit episode three. Spencer park26, you're a better person than me for not holding a grudge. The worst part is trying to pretend you don't know what's coming during their play by play. Honestly, the guilt of spoiling something almost ruins the show for me too.

My new paver patio started sinking after a heavy rain

I mean, crushed stone can totally wash out too, it just depends on the size and how you lay it. The real trick is that compacted base layer underneath, idk maybe it's just me but I see people skip that step all the time. If that base isn't solid, anything you put on top is gonna sink eventually. Gravel or crushed stone, they both need a good foundation to sit on.

A guy at a truck stop in Flagstaff showed me a trick with a zip tie and a glow plug

Yeah that trick is clever for a pinch but I gotta agree with @piper_kim on the safety thing. When you said it sends voltage but no pulse width, is that something you can actually see with a test light, like a really fast flicker? Or do you need a meter to catch it?

A chat with a stranger on a bench in Portland's Lan Su Garden changed how I see my own career path.

My cousin graduated with a business degree last year and now works at a hardware store. It's so tough out there. I see so many smart people taking jobs just to pay the bills. It really feels like the system is broken sometimes.
