So I finally gave in and swapped my guitar for gardening gloves
I always thought having a loud, fun hobby was the best way to relax after work. For years, I'd plug in my electric guitar and try to learn riffs, thinking the noise and energy would shake off the day. But honestly, it just felt like more work, and I was always a bit worried about bugging the neighbors. What changed my mind was last weekend, when I just sat on my back step with a cup of coffee and watched the birds. It was so quiet and peaceful, I felt my stress just melt away in a way the guitar never did. Now I'm putting that energy into fixing up my little patch of dirt out back. It's a small choice, but it feels big to admit that what I need is calm, not more sound. My new daily dilemma is deciding which seeds to plant first.
