Wait, didn't you start that like six months ago?

Appreciation post: Found my old Game Boy with my sister's save files

Totally get what garcia.jason means about help from older siblings. My cousin always had me beat Brock for him because he couldn't figure out the type matchups. @nora691 has a point about it messing with your own story, though. Like, if you don't sweat through grinding levels for Misty, do you even really earn that Cascade Badge? I still remember the panic of facing Lance's Dragonite without the right moves, but that's what made it mine.

My camping pillow blew up like a balloon animal

Oh man, that's the real camping tip right there. I mean, we all focus on not deflating our sleep pads, but nobody talks about the launching pillow phase. It's kinda cool though, because that weird fail is what you'll remember from the trip, not just another night of okay sleep. You literally had to learn the hard way, and now you've got a story and a perfectly filled pillow. That's a win in my book.

Found a use for all that extra post-hole concrete

Consider the drainage under those walkway slabs. If you put them flat on the ground, water can pool and cause problems. Leave little spaces between each slab so rain can soak in. It stops the soil from washing away and keeps everything level.

DAE miss the simplicity of hand-cut glass but fear the risks now?

Doubt it's that big a deal. I've known folks who worked bare-handed for years without any real problems. Safety gear can feel clumsy and actually slow you down. Sometimes the risk is just overblown to sell more gear. You can still have a long career without all that extra stuff.
