Serious question, how do you handle the new composite sealant on the 787 nacelle panels?

I was doing a routine panel check last week and realized I'd been applying the new BMS 5-95 sealant wrong for months. The tech data sheet says to mix for 45 seconds, but I was just doing a quick 20-second stir like the old stuff. A lead at our Seattle hangar pointed out my seams were curing with tiny air pockets, which you could only see under a bright light. That could lead to moisture getting in over time. I had to redo three panels from a job two days prior. Has anyone else run into this with the newer materials and found a better mixing method?

Bought a $200 steamer for my station and it's a total game changer...

I was getting tired of using a spray bottle and a flat iron to smooth hair, it just never felt perfect. So I put down about $200 on a professional steamer from a beauty supply store last month. The way it sets color and opens the cuticle is so much better, my clients have noticed the difference in shine. Has anyone else switched to using steam for certain services?

Honestly, I was helping my cousin pack for her new job at a vet clinic in Phoenix last weekend. She was complaining about her scrub pants, saying 'I have to carry my phone, keys, and a notepad, but the pockets are basically fake.' Tbh, it hit different because I design casual wear and never thought about functional pockets for jobs like that. It made me sketch a few ideas for utility wear with real, deep pockets that don't look bulky. Has anyone else designed around a specific job's annoying uniform problem?

Had a Cessna 172 nose gear shimmy damper fail right after landing yesterday

The thing was totally dry, no fluid left at all. I had to replace the whole unit before the next flight. Has anyone else seen these fail so quickly after a recent service?

My barber in Tempe said something about my hair that made me think about my whole job

He was just trimming my neckline and casually mentioned, 'You know, the back of your head is the part you never see, but it's what everyone else looks at all day.' It hit me that I spend so much time focused on the front-end details at work, but maybe the behind-the-scenes stuff is what really matters to everyone else.
