Rant: My cousin's comment about her work uniform made me see pockets differently

Honestly, I was helping my cousin pack for her new job at a vet clinic in Phoenix last weekend. She was complaining about her scrub pants, saying 'I have to carry my phone, keys, and a notepad, but the pockets are basically fake.' Tbh, it hit different because I design casual wear and never thought about functional pockets for jobs like that. It made me sketch a few ideas for utility wear with real, deep pockets that don't look bulky. Has anyone else designed around a specific job's annoying uniform problem?

Wait, but scrubs are made for function over looks. Isn't that the whole point?

My aunt is a nurse and she sews extra pockets into her scrubs. It's crazy that the standard ones are so bad.

Why do so many work clothes fail the people who actually wear them?
