inGot offered a $12k raise to stay at a job I hate, and a $9k pay cut to do work I actually like. Which one do I take?
How much is your time and sanity worth to you though? I took a $7k cut about six years back to leave a job that was making me miserable, and within two years I was making more than the old place anyway because I actually cared about the work. That extra $12k spends fast when you're dragging yourself in every morning. Take the job you like if you can make the lower number work.

Tape labels are the reason I keep a bottle of Goo Gone in my truck like it owes me money. Pencil on the inside back rail is the way to go, and a dry rag at the end is all it takes. Some guys act like a label gun saves time until you spend an hour with a scraper and a bad attitude. Graphite has been doing this job since before tape was even a thing, so it is not some new trick. You are not the last guy swearing at tape, but you might be the last smart one.
