My boss said my layoff news was 'great timing' and I sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes
I got laid off from my logistics job in Columbus on a Thursday morning, and my manager walked me out to the lot while telling me the timing worked out because they were already planning cuts. I sat in my truck for 20 minutes before I could even turn the key. Then I drove to my kid's school and picked her up early just so I wouldn't be alone in the house. I never told her why. Two weeks later I got a job that pays $3 more an hour, but I still flinch every time someone says my name in a meeting. Has anyone else had a boss act like losing your job was a favor?
