A guy in Tulsa taught me the 3 foot test for cable runs and it saved me a callback
Was finishing a job off 71st and Sheridan last Tuesday and the homeowner kept saying his wifi dropped in the back bedroom. Older installer named Ray was there picking up his own truck and told me to walk the run and check for sharp bends every 3 feet, turns out I had a kink behind the couch nobody could see. Do you guys do the 3 foot check or just eyeball it?

Did Ray say why 3 feet specifically, like is that the bend radius limit for coax?
