I keep seeing people mix up Clovis and Folsom points on here like they're the same thing
It's been bugging me for weeks now. Clovis points are older, around 13,000 years ago, and they have that flute that goes maybe a third of the way up. Folsom points are way more delicate with flutes almost the whole length, and those are from about 10,800 years ago at sites like the Lindenmeier site in Colorado. How do you tell them apart without looking at the base shape or the flaking pattern?
