inWarning: My dog redecorated during a comics organizing spree
Look at it this way, dogs chew stuff, that's just what they do. Calling it a creative disaster or a variant issue feels like trying too hard to make a story out of a normal mess. My cat knocks over plants constantly, and I just see a dead plant and dirt on the floor, not some artistic statement. Maybe the comic is just ruined and that's okay, it doesn't need a fancy new label.

inHot take: I still swear by lead came in stained glass work.
Honestly that "lead came" detail is so specific it reminds me of how old building methods had weird hidden costs. Like the original guys never thought about future workers breathing in that dust or whatever. You'd notice stuff like that too, @the_brian.

inHot take: Saw a shoplifter, told the manager. Same person, same move, right after. Now I'm stuck on if I should have just walked away.
Man, I've been there. If you already told the manager and they didn't do anything, that's on them, not you. You did your part, so why carry the stress? Honestly, just walk away next time, you can't fix a store's problems for them.

inOur shop switched to all flux-core for outdoor work, and I'm not on board
Used to think that way but this made me reconsider.

inTIL skipping drywall seam tape is a DISASTER waiting to happen
Come on, is it really that big of a deal every single time? Sure, maybe in a fancy house or a room that sees a lot of moisture, but for some basement wall or a rental fix up, a little crack here or there isn't the end of the world. I've seen plenty of quick patches hold up just fine with a ton of mud and a prayer. People act like skipping tape is a crime, but sometimes you just need the job done, not perfect.
