You mentioning the corner store walk really got me. I've driven to a mailbox that was literally three houses down before, which is pretty bad when I think about it. My new rule is if I can see the place from my window, I have to walk or run there, no excuses. It makes my lazy trips way more obvious but at least the guilt is good for my pace.
