What made you start getting them? I skipped one on a place years ago and it turned out the pipes were about to go. Cost me way more than the inspection would have.

So you had that happen too @ruby_jones? I skipped an inspection on a condo once because it looked perfect. Two months in, we found a leak that had been dripping inside a wall for years. The whole corner was soft and moldy. Had to replace a big part of the floor and frame, cost thousands. I mean, never again, it just seems crazy to not pay for someone to look it over first.
