Finally finished my gravel patio after comparing two base materials
The crushed granite compacted way better than the pea gravel and didn't wash out after the first big rain here in Austin. Anyone have a go-to ground cover for the edges to keep it neat?

Oh man, crushed granite is the only way to go (learned that the hard way too).

Nice! My own patio project taught me that crushed granite is a champ, unlike my first messy pea gravel attempt.

Wait, really? I gotta disagree on the crushed granite. I used it for a path last year and it was a total pain. That stuff gets everywhere, like tracked into the house constantly. It also settles and washes away way easier than people say. Honestly I went back to pea gravel because at least it stays put once you get it right.
