inPSA: I used to dismiss listening for bearing noise until it diagnosed a failing hoist motor.
A mechanic friend told me once that weird noises are the car's way of talking, kinda like @henrydixon said.

inAppreciation post: That new recycled steel we tried for patch jobs is holding up like a champ.
Saw a piece on recycled steel in body repair recently. They said modern recycling makes it just as strong for patches. Glad to hear it's working out in practice.
