Noticed something odd about an oak's leaves last week

Oh man, you're totally right. I used to just water everything when leaves curled, but seeing pests mess up my neighbor's tree made me rethink that. Now I check for other stuff first.

Just realized how much work goes into a simple camping trip these days

I hear you saying "getting there was half the battle," but that mindset might be the issue. All that packing and checking gear is part of the fun if you see it as getting ready for the adventure. It actually makes the peace and quiet feel more earned when you finally arrive.

Shoutout to the techs at that tiny Alaskan airstrip

Totally! A book I read said limits force real creative fixes.

Hot take: Always said glue joints were weak until one held up my entire bookshelf.

Guess I'll just glue my whole house together then.

Vent: Our local bake-off turned into a flour bomb situation (the cleanup crew is still finding it in weird places, like my mailbox).

Oh please, @spencer_coleman, you've clearly never had to deal with flour in every nook and cranny. It gets into your clothes and turns them into ghost costumes, sticks to your hair like weird dandruff, and don't even get me started on how it clogs up vacuums. People post about it because it's funny to see someone else's disaster, plus it's a warning to others. Sure, it's not a crisis, but it's the kind of annoying mess that makes you question your life choices. Honestly, if you think flour is no big deal, you must have a magic cleanup crew on speed dial.
