Ha, the digging is the easy part for me, it's the leveling that gets old fast. Six years with no shifting is a good sign though, so that guy did something right. Gravel is way less work but pavers do look a lot better, so I get the temptation.

Twelve years of calling something snake oil and then a $19 bottle proves you wrong, that has to sting a little. Guess the floor pans on that F-150 don't care about your opinions, they just wanted to stop turning into dust. Funny how stubborn we get about stuff until a buddy's truck is about to fall apart and suddenly the magic potion looks pretty good. Next thing you know you'll be buying two bottles just to keep one in the garage.

The part about "who are you saying it to" is what gets me, because I read once that we talk to pets the way we talk to babies, mostly for ourselves. The words don't matter to them, it's the soft tone that calms everyone down, you and the dog both. So you're not talking to yourself, you're just saying it out loud so your own brain hears it.
