I finally caved and watched that sitcom about a messy family.

Ever wonder why we compare our real mess to those scripted ones? Their chaos is a tidy joke, but my laundry pile is a true horror story.

TIL my grandma's writing prompt cards hit different than apps.

Bro, you have no idea. It was all loopy cursive with random size changes, like she switched pens every other word. Honestly looked like a doctor wrote it after three cups of coffee. Total chicken scratch, took me ten minutes just to figure out where one sentence ended.

USB outlet requests are clogging up my job list

Built-in USB is convenient, but I'm still using adapter blocks like a old-timer.

Rant: Quarter panel weld warped on me last job

Jeez, I've been there. Last time I tried to patch a fender, it ended up looking like a potato chip. What saved me was skipping the tacks and just welding in short bursts, then hitting it with a wet rag. Less heat build-up that way, and the rag cools it fast without warping everything. Still looked a bit wavy, but at least it wasn't a total funhouse mirror. Client never noticed, so I guess it worked.

Counting my plastic bags for a week taught me where I waste and cut my stress about the planet.

Sure it feels good to track your own plastic use, but does that actually fix anything big? Most of the waste comes from factories and shipping, not my grocery trip. Feels like we're just patting ourselves on the back for a tiny win while the real mess keeps growing. Getting people to focus on their own trash might even let the big polluters off the hook. The whole thing can just become a way to feel less guilty without making real change.
