PSA: Skipping pet adjustments on motion sensors is asking for trouble
I installed a system where the motion sensors kept tripping because of the family's dog, and the customer was ready to cancel the contract. It was my fault for not asking about pets during the walkthrough. I had to go back and lower the sensitivity, which fixed it, but it cost me time and trust. Now, I make it a point to discuss pets and test settings with them in the room. It seems obvious, but I see other installers rush through and skip this step. Do yourself a favor and take those extra five minutes, or you'll be making unhappy callbacks like I did.
