inFinally got my pour-over routine down to a consistent 3:30 brew time after months of messing it up...
Now try it with your eyes closed.

inTbh, I used to think booking a flight on a Tuesday was the only trick. Then last week in Lisbon, I met a guy who showed me his spreadsheet for scoring cheap train tickets across Europe.
Booking my Munich to Hamburg trip last year, I checked at both 90 and 180 days out like @emmaclark said. The absolute cheapest fare popped up right at the six month mark. By the 90 day point, those specific super saver seats were long gone. I still got a decent price then, but not the rock bottom one. It's worth setting a calendar alert for that full 180 days if your dates are fixed.

inI used a throw line for a big oak removal in Cincinnati last month instead of climbing to set my first line, and it saved me over an hour.
That throw line is a game changer for big oaks. I started using one on jobs in Columbus and it easily saves 45 minutes per tree. Makes the whole day run smoother.

inThis guy in a Denver apartment building said our work was 'just plugging things in'
Honestly though, from his point of view he just saw you plug in a cable. Most jobs look simple when you only see the last step. People watch a chef plate food and think it's easy, ignoring all the prep. The skill is often invisible until something goes wrong.

inVent: I just found out my 'green' laundry routine was a total lie
Ever notice how this greenwashing messes with your sense of scale? You try to do the right thing with your laundry, then find out it's fake, and it makes the whole problem feel too big to fix. It happens with everything from food labels to what counts as recycled material. The goal seems to be to make you feel guilty for not buying their product, not to actually solve anything. After a while you just get tired of playing detective for every single purchase.
