Honestly, I just realized I've been stealing from my own neighborhood.

Tbh, for the last year I've been taking those free weekly newspapers from the box outside the Denver Public Library, not to read, but to use as packing material for my online sales. I saw a neighbor, Mrs. Chen, looking for a copy last Tuesday and the box was empty. She said she needed the local job listings. It hit me that I was taking a community resource for my own small gain. Has anyone else done something small like this without thinking it through?

Hey fellow business owners, I'm fed up with our current ISP dropping out during the lunch rush and messing up our POS system. I saw some flyers for Cronus Internet around downtown recently. Has anyone tried them for their restaurant or retail shop? Are they actually reliable for commercial use?

My kid asked me why we don't just fix the ocean

I was helping my 8-year-old with a school project about coral reefs, and she looked up from a picture of bleached coral and said, 'If it's broken, why don't all the grown-ups just fix it?' I mean, I tried to explain about systems and politics, but her simple question about just fixing the broken thing hit me hard. How do you talk to kids about this stuff without making them feel hopeless?

Honestly, my car's check engine light came on right before a road trip

I was at a gas station in Toledo, and the code reader said it was the oxygen sensor. I drove it anyway and spent the whole weekend worried it would die. Has anyone else just ignored a warning light because they couldn't deal with it right then?

Question about a stubborn color correction that took me three days

A client came in wanting to go from a box black to a soft caramel blonde, which I thought would be a two-session job. The first round of lightener barely lifted, and I realized the black dye had metallic salts in it. I spent the next two days doing careful strand tests and using a color remover before I could even start the proper lightening process. The whole correction ended up taking about nine hours over three separate appointments. Has anyone else dealt with metallic dye recently, and what removal method worked best for you?
