Am I the only one who had a Samsung dryer thermal fuse blow right after replacing the heating element?

I swapped out the element on a DV42H model last Thursday, ran a test cycle, and the new fuse popped before the load was even dry, which has me wondering if I missed a short in the wiring harness or if there's a deeper airflow issue I should check first.

Did you check the vent hose for a clog? I used to just swap parts too, but a blocked vent will overheat and blow that fuse every time, even with a new element.

Swapping parts is faster than checking every hose.

My DV48J did the same thing last year. @the_alice is right about the vent hose, a clog will kill a new fuse fast. You need to check airflow before you swap anything else.
