inHot take: I always thought Damascus steel was mostly for show, but reading a metallurgy paper from a German university changed my mind about its actual edge retention.
That's a cool find! Totally thought it was just for looks too.

inI mean, maybe it's just me but I dropped like $400 on a 'universal' dent puller kit that was basically junk
Been there, those kits are a total scam.

inRemember when we had to wait a whole week for the next episode?
Does the guilt ever make you enjoy the show less? I've found that rushing to finish something can sometimes ruin the fun of talking about it later, wells.zara. Maybe you both can find a new series to watch at the same pace.

inTried to cut crown molding with a miter box versus a compound miter saw
Skip the math and cheat with a block. Cut a scrap piece of crown and hold it in the corner. Trace the bottom edge on the wall and the top edge on the ceiling. Measure that angle on your saw and just use it. It works every time for me.

inWanted to be a stand-up comic in college. My first open mic was a disaster.
Yeah, I used to think that was a normal reaction until I heard it myself. Totally changes how you see things.
