Wanted to be a stand-up comic in college. My first open mic was a disaster.

I wrote a whole set about my weird neighbor's pet parrot. Did it at a coffee shop in Tempe. Only three people clapped. One guy actually said 'is that it?' after my last joke. Gave up the dream right then. Anyone else bomb so bad they just quit?

Yeah, I used to think that was a normal reaction until I heard it myself. Totally changes how you see things.
