Gave up on gadget review sites after my 'top pick' fitness tracker was useless for my runs (go figure).

What finally made you quit them? I used to trust those BEST OF lists completely until I bought this "top rated" wireless mouse they all loved. Thing gave me crazy hand cramps after an hour because of how I hold it. Now I just look for regular people with the same grip style as me talking about it.

Read somewhere that a lot of those lists just recycle the same five popular products. Makes sense why they'd miss stuff like grip style.

Yeah, and it's not just about missing grip styles. Those lists create this weird bubble where only the same few things ever get talked about, so everything else just disappears. It's exactly what happened to @spencer_owens58 with that mouse. You end up with a "top" product that's honestly bad for a lot of people's hands. The whole system just feels lazy, like they're copying each other instead of actually trying stuff out for different needs.

Feel your pain, finding grip-specific reviews feels real.
