inDebate: I quit planning my backpacking routes down to the minute (you know, like obsessing over exact mile markers) and found more fun, but my buddy says it's asking for trouble. Where do you stand?
Yeah but going in totally blind sounds like a fast way to get stuck somewhere grim. I like a rough plan so I'm not wasting daylight or miles, leaves room for cool finds without the stress.
