inMy cousin in Florida said he's stopped fishing because the water feels 'wrong' now
Sounds like a real pattern with these lakes lately. @phoenixw11, my buddy's pond went totally green last month. It's getting harder to ignore how many people are seeing weird stuff. Makes you wonder what's really going on with the water. Not a good sign for any of us who like being outside.

inMy sourdough starter finally doubled in volume after 11 days of looking like pancake batter, and my whole kitchen smelled like victory.
So you keep yours on the fridge too, @janah83? I read this whole thing once about how the ideal proofing temp is basically just "slightly warm to the touch," which is exactly what those spots give you. It's funny how we all end up finding these weird little warm zones in our houses just to keep the starter happy. My friend swears by putting hers in the microwave with the door closed but not turned on, just to block drafts. That oven light trick is solid, it's like a tiny proofing box for free.

inWatched a guy at the county fair try to fix a loose shoe with a pair of pliers and a rock. It's not just about the nail.
My uncle once fixed a leaky garden hose with a pencil stub and electrical tape. It wasn't pretty, but it got him through the season. That kind of fix has its own special pride.

Did you use a moisture barrier or just go straight onto the subfloor?

inShowerthought: I think people are wrong about the 'doom' around the Great Barrier Reef
Noticed the same thing with other stuff. News only shows the worst car crash, never the fender bender everyone walked away from. Makes you think everything's totaled. Good to see some numbers that aren't all bad for once.
