A bride's mom insisted on all white roses for a $2k wedding order last spring

She said 'color is tacky and shows a lack of class' right in front of me at the consultation. I pushed back gently, suggesting some greenery or filler for texture, but she was firm. Do you ever get clients who are totally against any color in arrangements?

Clients like that make me want to scream into a pillow.

Had a client last year who wanted all white hydrangeas, nothing else. It looked like a cloud puked on the tables. Sometimes you just have to do what they ask and take their money. I might sneak in some different textures though, like seeded eucalyptus or dusty miller. It's still green and white but breaks up the solid color. They usually don't even notice it's there.

That cloud puked line is too real. So when you sneak in the seeded eucalyptus, do you ever get a client who actually spots it and pushes back? Like they want pure white so bad they notice the green stems? I had one who made me strip every single leaf from some roses once.
