A office uniform issue showed me why fit matters in design

Our team made new work clothes that did not suit many body shapes. I saw how this made my coworkers feel left out. Now I plan my designs with more size choices from the start. This lesson came from listening to people at work. It has changed how I think about making clothes.

At my last job the uniform shirts were so boxy.

Ever hear about some places getting those shirts tailored? Saw a thing where a warehouse had darts put in the backs, looked way better lol.

Used to assume one cut worked for everyone. Seeing people feel bad in poorly fitting clothes actually changed my mind about that.

Yeah, totally get what @the_wendy means. I used to just grab whatever medium shirt off the rack and wonder why I looked sloppy. Then I saw a friend in a shirt that actually fit his shoulders and waist, and he just carried himself differently, you know? It wasn't even fancy, just the right cut. Now I notice how a boxy shirt can make someone look kinda lost, while a simple taper can make the same person look put together. Makes a huge difference for real.
