inSeeing a washer shake apart a floor from skipping the level step
Saw a unit in Tempe last month that shook so hard it cracked the concrete floor. Guess some folks think 'level' is just a suggestion, like using turn signals. The repair bill was more than the washer cost, all for skipping five minutes with a bubble level. Makes you wonder if they also skip the 'add detergent' step.

inWhy does nobody talk about how explaining blueprints to family helps you spot errors?
Yeah, explaining it to family is the real test. I once showed my kid my kitchen plan and he just pointed at the fridge and said "but the door opens the wrong way." I had to redo the whole corner. Sometimes you need a ten-year-old to tell you the thing you stared at for weeks is stupid.

inShoutout to the empty bird feeder that flipped my take on lawn care
Have you ever gotten so fed up you jumped straight to the big fix? I once yanked out every plant in my flower bed over one weed. Turns out it was just a slow starter. So yeah, going from no birds to a whole new garden sounds like something I'd do. But you make a good point about trying the easy stuff first.
