Ethical wool sourcing has me questioning my entire hobby

Is it okay to use cheap wool from farms with poor animal care for my knitting projects, or should I always buy pricier ethical yarn instead?

I used to buy the cheap yarn without thinking. Seeing how those animals are treated made me change my mind.

That part about "seeing how those animals are treated" is so true, @lindag33. I see that same shift now with people and fast fashion. They just want a cheap shirt, then they see the factory conditions. Same with ignoring where your chicken nugget really comes from. We buy the cheap, easy thing when we don't have to look at the real cost. It's wild how fast your mind changes once you actually see it.

That yarn example from @lindag33 really hits home. It feels impossible to make every choice perfect, but seeing the truth changes everything.

That "seeing how those animals are treated" part reminds me of my friend who stopped buying leather.
