My dream about the Denver airport escalator had a rule everyone ignores

I keep seeing posts where people say you can fly in dreams if you just believe hard enough, but that's not my rule at all. For me, the rule is you can ONLY fly if you're on a moving walkway or escalator, like the one in Denver's main terminal. It matters because I spent years trying to jump and float in place before I figured out the moving ground trick. Has anyone else had a weird specific rule like that for a basic dream power?

Wait, you can actually get the flying to work if you follow a rule? That's wild. I had a similar thing where I could only run super fast if I was on a specific dirt path from my old school. Trying to run fast anywhere else just felt like wading through mud. It's so weird how our brains lock these powers behind random conditions.

My flying cheat code is holding a plastic grocery bag, like Sarah Fisher's mud feeling.

Totally! It's like our brains put weird cheat codes on the simplest things.

Yeah, the "wading through mud" feeling is exactly it. I always thought you just needed to try harder until I found my own weird rule.
