Building raised beds is basically my cardio for wasting money, so at least you got some back. Carl sounds like the guy who tells you your grill is wrong, but the plastic liner trick is solid and it keeps the wood from sucking up wet dirt all season. Keeping the cedar for the two beds you see from the kitchen is not crazy either, since a wood box is half garden and half yard decoration.

I had the same thing happen with Watchmen issue 4 or 5, the one with the big Dr Manhattan origin stuff. My shop guy in Austin told me to trace the page with my finger like a little kid learning to read, and it felt dumb at first, but it works. You start top left, sweep right, then down. The art pulls your eye to the next panel, and the words just land differently when you get there. Now I do a full silent pass, no words at all, then go back and read it. Takes maybe twenty extra seconds a page but the story hits way harder.
