The endless cycle of messy PDF markups on shop drawings is getting old.

I spend more time figuring out what a note on a drawing even means than I do actually making the fix.

Seriously, this is a pain. But often the notes are so vague they're useless. We need better upfront info.

Vague notes can actually help you think for yourself though.

I get the frustration, but I lean toward @robins83's view. A little vagueness makes you dig deeper and own the solution. You end up learning more that way.

Hold up, I see where you're coming from but there's a big difference between helpful vagueness and just being unclear. If the notes miss key steps or terms, you're not learning, you're just stuck. Good guidance gives you a starting point to figure things out, not a blank page. It's about giving people the right tools to find the answer themselves.
