Three years ago I spent $2,000 on a website redesign that got me zero leads

I paid a freelancer in Chicago back in 2021 to build a flashy new site with all these animations and sliders, but last week I realized nobody could even find the contact form. Has anyone else wasted money on a redesign that didn't actually drive any sales?

Haha I paid a guy $500 and my button said "click here" in invisible ink.

Wait, @wilson.joseph, isn't invisible ink just clear ink that needs a light to see?

Man, that invisible ink thing is actually hilarious but also painfully relatable. I think the real problem is that people get so caught up in making a site look pretty they forget it has to actually work for the customer. I've seen so many sites with fancy sliders and big hero images that take forever to load and hide the main call to action. It's like building a car with a great paint job but no steering wheel. Did you ever figure out if it was a design issue or just bad placement of the contact form?

Honestly, that's the worst, you probably wasted hours hunting for that thing.
