My bad habit with the torque wrench finally caught up to me

I kept leaving my torque wrench on the same setting for all jobs. I figured it was a smart way to save a few seconds. Then I snapped a bolt on a diesel pump housing. The piece vanished into the bell housing like a magic trick. Took me two hours to find it, felt like a total fool.

Wait, you kept it on the same setting for everything? Tbh that’s just asking for trouble on something as finicky as a diesel pump. No wonder it finally bit you.
