I finally saw what happens when you stop picking up dog poop for 3 weeks in a small yard

Have you tried watering the spots immediately after they go? I found that if I flush the area with a hose right after my dog poops, it dilutes the nitrogen enough to stop the burn. Takes an extra minute but saves me from having dead patches everywhere.

Vent: That guy at the flea market who swore 9/11 was an inside job

Oh man, I had a guy at a yard sale try to convince me birds aren't real once.

Finally tried the spin brush on a heavy creosote job vs. the old manual rods

Did the spin brush throw dust around way more than the rods do, or was it about the same? Because I hate when the fine crap gets everywhere and you're still finding it in your truck three days later. That's the main thing that would make me hesitate to grab it for a regular job.

The moment I realized I was doing my future log all wrong

Oh totally! It's like sticky notes cut through all the digital clutter and just work. I've noticed this bigger pattern where the simplest, most low-tech things often get the job done better than the fancy apps. Like how paper to-do lists still beat any planner app for me, and old school notebooks are easier to remember things from than typing notes on a phone. Sometimes the hack that feels like cheating is just our brains liking things plain and simple!

TIL the Hubble Deep Field photo has galaxies that are 13 billion years old

Blew my mind when I first saw the news. It's like when you think you've cleaned out every corner of your closet and then find a whole hidden shelf you never noticed before. Webb basically found galaxies that were already fully formed way earlier than anyone thought possible, way older than what Hubble could see. Makes you wonder what other "hidden shelves" are out there in space that we just haven't figured out how to look at yet.
