Shoutout to the guy who helped me dig out my hoarded garage last spring

I was standing in my garage in Columbus feeling totally overwhelmed. There was a path barely wide enough to walk through, old car parts and boxes stacked up for like 8 years. My neighbor Bob walked by and just said "you need a hand?" and we spent the whole Saturday clearing it out. We filled up a full dumpster rental, about 12 cubic yards worth of junk. Now I can actually park my truck inside and it feels so much better. Anyone else have a neighbor step in like that?

@emmaclark definitely makes it go faster when you got a buddy handing you stuff.

lol i gotta be the one to say this but i actually kind of hate when neighbors do this. like i get that bob was trying to be nice but now you owe him one forever. every time you see him you're gonna think about that garage and he's gonna think about how he helped you. now you can never just wave and keep walking without feeling awkward. plus now he knows you hoard stuff. congrats you have a clean garage and a lifelong debt lmao.

oh man, that's awesome. i had a similar thing happen when i was trying to clean out my basement a few years back. my buddy from down the street came over and we just blasted music and made it a whole day thing. honestly having someone else there made it way less overwhelming, even if they're just handing you stuff.
