Found a way to boost my score by 48 points in 60 days

I tried disputing an old medical bill on my credit report and it actually worked after 3 attempts. Has anyone else had luck getting negative items removed with a simple dispute letter?

That's great it worked for you, but disputing random stuff isn't a magic fix for everyone. Credit bureaus don't just delete valid negative items because you send a letter. A medical bill that's actually yours and accurate will likely stick around if the collector responds with proof. You got lucky your first attempts maybe hit a lazy processor or the debt was too old to verify. For most people, relying on a simple dispute letter for legit negative marks gets you nowhere fast. Just don't want anyone thinking this is a guaranteed hack, because it's not.

People get way too caught up looking for shortcuts instead of just dealing with stuff head on. It's the same thing with weight loss or getting out of debt, everyone wants the easy button but it rarely works out that way.
