Spent $80 on a 'professional' static wrist strap and it was a total joke
Honestly, I bought this fancy anti-static strap online because the pictures made it look like NASA gear. It arrived and the clip was just a flimsy piece of plastic that broke the first time I hooked it to a case. Tbh, I ended up just touching the power supply like I always do, and it worked fine. The whole thing felt like a scam for newbies. Has anyone else wasted cash on gear that turned out to be completely useless?

Read somewhere that a lot of those straps are just cheap stuff with a huge markup.

Ugh, totally! I mean, I fell for a "tactical" backpack once that was just a normal bag with extra buckles sewn on. The strap ripped in like a month. It's crazy how they just slap a fancy word on something and triple the price. Feels like you're just paying for the label.

NASA gear" got me, I once bought a "military grade" phone case that cracked from a 3-foot drop. Some marketing is just a straight-up lie.
