Read somewhere that Alan Moore never meant for superheroes to be seen as cool in Watchmen. It totally flipped how I saw the whole story. The way he breaks down the idea of heroism is so brutal and honest. I remember feeling shocked by the ending the first time too. That book makes you question everything about power and justice. Glad you got to experience it, it's a masterpiece!
