I dropped $150 on a 'universal' camp stove fuel converter that ended up being a total paperweight.
The adapter promised to let my old Coleman stove run on any fuel canister, but after three frustrating trips trying to get a stable flame, I just gave up and bought the proper fuel. Anyone have a better solution for mismatched gear?

Got to disagree with the patience take here. Some gear is just badly made. If a product needs you to beg it to work for 45 minutes on a trip, that's a design flaw, not a user problem. You shouldn't have to fight your own equipment when you're trying to cook dinner in the woods. A real solution works reliably without that much fuss.

Sometimes universal adapters just need more patience to dial in.

What even counts as patience anymore? I spent like 45 minutes trying to get one to sync with my old controller last week. By the time the stupid light finally stayed solid green, I'd already missed the start of the game. It felt less like dialing something in and more like begging a rock to understand Bluetooth.
