I finally drove out to that legendary pit stop from the old shows.
Back then, it was all smoke and handwork. Now it's shiny gear, but the brisket still melts.

Legendary is a strong word for a roadside smokehouse. Places always get fancier over the years. If the meat's still good, that's what really counts.

For 'meat's still good,' TRUE, but a GREAT spot masters both meat and mood every time.

Nah @hill.margaret, the whole experience makes it legendary.

Margaret's got a point though. Legendary just means the food holds up, not that they added fancy chairs. People get weirdly intense about barbecue vibes. It's smoked meat on a plate, not a Broadway show.

Spot the difference between the old gear and the new setup, but the real magic is in the smoke ring and that bark. They can upgrade the chairs all they want, but you can't fake decades of getting the fire just right. That's what makes a place stick around.
