I never got the hype around our neighborhood potluck until last month

Guess you finally unlocked the secret level of adulthood where talking to neighbors doesn't feel like a chore. I used to avoid my building's lobby like it was a minefield of small talk, but then I got stuck in the elevator with the guy from 4B and we bonded over our mutual hatred of the slow door close. Turns out he's not just the guy who sometimes wears mismatched slippers. It's weird how actually knowing people's names makes the whole place feel less like a temporary waiting room. Now I show up for the dumb lobby parties just for the free mediocre cookies and the chance to hear more gossip about who keeps stealing the laundry room hangers.

Why does everyone skip the basic continuity test?

Had a similar thing last week where a whole rack was acting up, turned out to be a single loose connector (the kind you'd miss if you went straight for the diagnostics software). Felt pretty good to spot it.

A quick win for cutting down drywall waste

My supplier does the same thing with scraps.

PSA: My aunt thought chimney sweeps only worked on Christmas Eve.

Disney movies probably caused that mix-up for a lot of people.

I finally had to point out a dangerous ferment jar at a friend's place

It happens with all kinds of safety stuff, not just food. I see it with parents skipping car seat rules because their cousin did it and the kid was fine. Idk, maybe it's just me but when a shortcut goes viral, it makes the real rule seem like an overreaction. The scary part is people forget the rule existed at all.
