Vent: That week when EVERY single ATM fee hit me at once

Last month I was driving a load through Ohio and had to stop for cash at three different ATMs in two days. Each one hit me with a $3.50 fee on top of my bank's $2.50 charge, so I lost like $18 just to pull out $200. What made it stick out was finding out my credit union doesn't even charge those fees if I use their app to find free machines. Has anyone else had a run of bad luck with ATM fees like that?

Miles is right, that fee percentage is highway robbery.

$18 in fees for $200 cash is insane, I'd be losing my mind over that.

Start doing the math on fees like that and you realize they're charging you extra just for the privilege of handing over your own money. At 9% I half expect them to offer me a coupon for a free lollipop to soften the blow. Next time I'll just ask the cashier if they want to hold a going-out-of-business bake sale for me instead.

At $18 that's more like 9% in fees, not 9%. Just saying @miller.emery.
