That huge sycamore removal in Decatur last Thursday went from a nightmare to a win

We had to drop a 70 foot sycamore with a split trunk right over a garage. The crane operator, Mike, said it was the tightest lift he'd done in months. We got it down in four pieces without a scratch on the roof. Anyone else have a job that looked impossible but went perfectly smooth?

Sometimes a smooth job is just dumb luck, not calm skill.

Tight lifts like that really show the value of a calm crew. I've seen jobs where the plan was solid, but someone getting jumpy with a chainsaw or a tag line creates the only real danger. When everyone moves slow and talks clear, even the worst setup feels manageable. It's that quiet focus that turns a nightmare into a win.

Ever seen a calm crew save a bad day?
