My coworker swore the algorithm would find me better dates than my own swipes do
He kept saying let the app do the work, so I tried letting it pick for a whole month. Every match was either a bot or someone who lived 200 miles away. Has anyone else had the algorithm completely miss the mark like that?

I read a study once that said Tinder's algorithm actually deprioritizes people who swipe right too much, so maybe you just swiped on everyone and confused it.

Reset my account and stopped swiping for a week. Fixed it right away.
