Rant: My whole family thought I was nuts for trying to air fry a whole chicken

Last week, I saw a video from a cooking channel in Seattle where they did it in under an hour... I tried it on Sunday with a five pound bird from the market. I rubbed it with just oil, salt, and pepper, and it came out so juicy, but the skin wasn't as crispy as I wanted. Has anyone else tried this and found a trick for getting that perfect, all-over crunch?

Try patting the skin dry before you rub it with oil.

Watched my friend go full lizard mode after a shower last winter. She'd slather on oil while still dripping wet, then wonder why her legs looked like cracked desert soil. I finally told her to use the towel first, just a quick pat. The next week she texted me a picture of her arm like it was some miracle. Skin was actually smooth for once.

Patting dry first is the real game changer, right?
