Dream me was convinced I could fly, but only if I held my breath and thought about the color blue.

Always thought it was about running fast, but mine is actually about not looking down.

Got a weird glitch in my AI art generator to make way better cityscapes

My buddy was trying to generate a photo of a forest and it kept looking fake. He typed "stock photo" in the negative prompt and it suddenly looked like a real place. The trees got more random and the light looked natural. He said it was a total game changer for making outdoor scenes.

TIL a simple trick for those old Kenmore washer pumps that always seem to jam

A wider hose plus sanding the cut edge gives you two layers of protection against snags.

Warning: The city's new 'storm proof' tree planting in Denver has me worried

But you're missing the whole point of the barrier. It's not about stopping roots, it's about steering them DOWN. Without it, those shallow roots go straight for the sewer line. I'd rather deal with a circled root in fifteen years than a flooded basement next spring. That Colorado study was on a slope, not a flat yard like most people have.

Serious question, is anyone else seeing these crazy tourist taxes in Europe now?

Ever wonder if that tax is the reason the streets in the tourist zones are actually pretty clean? I mean, I saw city workers power washing the sidewalks in the Gothic Quarter almost every morning. It didn't feel like a grab to me because the public transit was so good and clearly used by everyone. Maybe it's just me, but when a place is that well kept, I don't mind paying a bit extra to help keep it that way.
