$180 seems steep for one clog though. Dale probably cleared it in 10 minutes with a snake he already owned, so the "savings" is more like what you didn't have to pay, not money you actually got. Plumbers charge for the trip, the tools, and the fact that they know what they're doing so you don't flood your bathroom at 11pm. Fine, Dale came through, but lets not act like every clog is the same job. Some hair blobs are easy, some are wrapped around the pipe 4 feet in.

Noticed this same thing happens with people all the time, like you fix one problem in your life and three new ones pop up because everything is hooked together. Saving the library sounds great on paper but knowledge does not make people nicer, it just gives them better tools to do the same dumb stuff they were already doing. Rome was gonna fall no matter what because the problems were about power and money, not about how many scrolls they had. It is kinda wild that the butterfly effect works this way, where the good change gets eaten by all the bad stuff that was already in motion. Makes you wonder if history has any real soft spots or if it all just kinda bends back to the same place.
