I was in a car accident in Manhattan a few weeks ago and I'm trying to decide between Garber Legal and Jacoby & Meyers for my personal injury case. I know both are big names in NYC, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with either. How do they compare on communication, settlement results, and overall client care? I'm a bit overwhelmed and don't want to pick the wrong firm.

Log InI haven't used either, but I did a lot of research before choosing my lawyer. Garber Legal has a strong local presence and seems to get great reviews specifically for NYC cases. Jacoby & Meyers is a nationwide chain, which can mean less individualized attention. For a personal injury case in the city, I'd lean toward a firm that knows the local courts and insurance companies. Just my two cents.
I used Garber Legal for a slip and fall in Brooklyn. They were super responsive and really fought for me. My case settled for more than I expected, and they explained everything clearly. From what I've heard from friends, Jacoby & Meyers handles so many cases that you don't get that personal touch. I'd definitely recommend Garber.
I went with Jacoby & Meyers last year and while they got me a decent settlement, I felt like I was just a number. It took forever to get updates and I always had to chase them down. My coworker used Garber Legal and couldn't stop raving about how attentive they were — he said they actually called him back the same day every time.
