Pilot car driver pulled a knife on me over a detour in Ohio
Last Tuesday I was hauling a 90,000 lb excavator near Youngstown and the pilot car ahead waved me off onto a dirt road that looked sketchy for my setup. I stopped to check the weight limit on my GPS and the driver jumped out screaming that I was wasting his hourly rate, then flashed a box cutter when I asked him to walk the turnaround first. Has anyone else dealt with pilot car tempers on tight rural routes, or is this guy just a rare level of crazy?
